Dr. Britta Schmitt-Howe

Dr. Britta Schmitt-Howe, born 1965, sociologist with doctorate has been a research associate at the Federal German Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA). There, she initially provided subject-organizational support for the umbrella evaluation of the Joint German Occupational Safety and Health Strategy (GDA) and has been a researcher since 2013, focusing on prevention culture and operational support by occupational safety experts and occupational physicians. From 2004 to 2008, Britta Schmitt-Howe worked as a policy officer in the department of quality management with integrated occupational health and safety at the statutory accident insurance organization in the health and welfare sector (BGW) and led several pilot clinics to integrated certification according to quality and BGW occupational health and safety standards. One further station in her professional career was her work as a project manager for quality management in intercultural youth social work at the Diakonisches Werk in Hessen und Nassau.
