Mr. Ockert Dupper

Global Programme Manager, ILO, Switzerland

Ockert Dupper is the Global Programme Manager of the Vision Zero Fund (VZF). VZF is a G-7 initiative that is administered by the International Labour Organization (ILO). Its aim is to reduce accidents, injuries and diseases in global supply chains. VZF is currently operational in 8 countries on 3 continents. The current supply chains of focus are garment / textiles, agriculture, and construction.

SYM18 (Formerly S30) - Promoting prevention and protection in global supply chains

While the contribution of GSCs to global economic growth and job opportunities is evident, their impact on the living and working conditions and the safety and health of workers raises important concerns. This session will examine innovative means that have been developed to improve working conditions and OSH in global supply chains.
