Lucia Botti, Eng., Ph.D. Postdoctoral research fellow at the Interdepartmental Research Center on Safety and Security (CRIS) of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

Lucia graduated in 2013 in Engineering Management at the University of Bologna, Italy. She earned her Doctoral Degree in March 2017, at the School of Mechatronics and Product Innovation Engineering at the University of Padua. Her research activity is focused on the analysis of the impact of occupational safety and health on logistics, maintenance and automation in industrial plants. The aim of her research is to analyze the impact of safety management systems and procedures on industrial processes, and automated technology improving occupational safety of high-risk activities. Her research topics deal with innovative automation and logistics solutions for occupational safety, with particular focus on ergonomics and confined space work.

She is currently Adjunct Professor of Ergonomics at the Industrial Design School of the University of Ferrara.
