Mr. Wouter de Gier

Wouter de Gier is Production Safety Director at Netflix. Under his leadership, the global Center of Excellence shapes the future of safety in Netflix.

Wouter is a highly visible and effective leader. He blends his HSE, digital and international business leadership experience into a distinct and inclusive approach to managing safety differently.

Before joining Netflix, Mr. de Gier was HEINEKEN's most senior Health and Safety Director. In this global leadership role, he delivered a drastic performance improvement. During his tenure, HEINEKEN became a safer place to work compared to ever before.

Prior to HEINEKEN, Wouter spent eight years at Maersk in various senior leadership roles around the world. Earlier in his professional career he was with Shell International in the USA and Europe.

Mr. de Gier has held various Board of Directors roles in India, Thailand and Vietnam.
