Ms. Elisa Ilarda

Occupational Violence Aggression and SafeWards Project Manager, Western Health, Australia

Elisa is a Registered Psychologist with a background in forensic, clinical and organisational Psychology. She currently works as a Project Manager in the occupational health and safety unit at Western Health overseeing the occupational violence portfolio and working in collaboration with Melbourne University to introduce UK's Safewards model in public health. She also provides Expert Witness reports in Common law Court in the area of workplace psychological injury. In 2019, she was a finalist in three State Awards including the Worksafe Victoria awards in the category of Commitment to Workplace Health and Well-being.

She subsequently Won the Victorian Public Healthcare Award in the category of Improving Workforce Wellbeing and Safety and received a 'Highly Commended' in the category of Best Solution to a Specific Workplace Health and Safety Issue. She is currently completing a Doctorate in Professional Practice researching violence risk assessment instruments in healthcare emergency settings.

SYM2 - Violence and harassment at work

This session will focus on the prevention of violence and harassment in the workplace, including international legislative developments, case studies, and tools for prevention and return to work.
