Ms. Evelyn McGill

President, International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions

Executive Director McGill was selected by the Commissioners to serve in January, 2013, responsible for the overall operations including all administration, operational and financial functions. She oversees twelve different operating departments, responsible for all day to day operations. Currently, she serves as Co-Chair of the Southern Association of Workers' Compensation Administrators Management Information Systems Committee and President, Board of Directors, for the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards. Prior to her appointment as Executive Director at the Commission, she had a fourteen (14) year tenure with the City of Richmond's Police Department, where she retired as Deputy Chief of Administration/Executive Director. She has also served as a senior administrator in various capacities, including Director and Vice President of Financial Affairs in various public sector agencies, while starting her career in various local and state governments in administration and finance.

ISSA Special Session: Global Forum for Work Injury Insurance

The Global Forum gathers leading experts and researchers from social security institutions to discuss prevention related questions for workers compensation boards and occupational accident insurance schemes. The Forum focusses on various topics dedicated to prevention, communication, innovation, sustainability and resilience. This year, the Forum will address responses to pandemics outbreaks and extreme events such as the COVID-19. It will be hosted by the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation with honourable support of the XXII World Congress on Safety and Health Organizers, the International Social Security Association and its ISSA Technical Commission on Insurance against Employment Accidents and Occupational Diseases. We are also pleased to welcome the regional organizations, bringing together social security institutions that are providing insurance against accidents at work and occupational diseases.
